Moments ago at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. pulled out a victory after outlasting a determined Miguel Cotto over twelve rounds. Scores of 118-110 and 117-111 twice were read in Mayweather?s favor in a fight that seemed a little closer than the cards actually read.
The fight was a heated chess match as Mayweather picked Cotto off with stinging right hands while Cotto had success applying pressure, with his best moments coming as he scored along the ropes.
Mayweather claims the WBA junior middleweight belt from Cotto and afterwards called for a possible fight with Manny Pacquiao.
?If you?re the best, take the test,? Mayweather exclaimed, pointing to his preference to strict drug-testing leading up to such a fight.
Much more to come?
