The undercard for tonight?s ?Ring Kings? show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas is rolling along, as just moments ago, WBC junior middleweight champion Saul Alvarez and his opponent, three-division champion Shane Mosley, made their way into the ring for their battle tonight.
Prior to the Mosley-Alvarez bout, undefeated welterweight prospect Jessie Vargas scored a one-sided ten-round decision over former champion Steve Forbes. Vargas was in control throughout the contest and while the fight was a bit void of action, Jessie showed a commanding jab and decent speed, never letting Forbes build momentum in the fight. In a shocker, former champion Carlos Quintana proved too rough and tough for Deandre Latimore, stopping him in the sixth round with a barrage of punches. Latimore attempted to rise after hitting the deck but referee Kenny Bayless waived the fight off.
In the evening?s main event, Miguel Cotto will defend his WBA junior middleweight belt against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Advertisement
