Figueroa dropped Cannon in Rd one for an 8 count and again early in round 2. After he dropped Cannon for the second time in round 2 Referee Vic Drakulich waved off the fight.
In the second fight, Keith Thurman (17-0-0, 16 K0) of Clearwater, FL TKO Brandon Koskins of Hannibal (16-1-1 8 KO) on round 3. Thurman dropped Koskins in Rd one for an 8 count. Referee Russel Mora stopped the fight at 25 sec of round 3.
In the night's opening bout, Antonio Orosco (in black trunks) of San Diego, CA (14-0-0, 10 KO) TKO Dillet Frederick of Fort Meyers Florida (8-10-3, 5KO at 1:25) of round 3 after Referee Kenny Bayless waived off the fight.
