Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. is known for talking a big game. And why not? I mean he can usually back up his talk. Right? Well what about his comments he made about President Barack Obama? Recently in a video interview with Michael Eric Dyson for HBO, “Money” Mayweather boasted that if he fights Manny Pacquiao, he’d let Barack Obama walk him to the ring holding his belt.
“Money” Mayweather stated in the interview: “People wanna know how much power Floyd Mayweather got? I can guarantee you this… I’ll show you how much power I’ve got… if I was to fight Manny Pacquiao, I’d let Barack Obama walk me into the ring holding my belt. Can I make it happen?! Absolutely!”
Now that is some big talk. Maybe unbelievable. Especailly since I remember reading recently that President Obama turned down an invite from Manny Pacquiao to attend one of his fights.
Well, perhaps to end all specualtion… “Money” Mayweather has just released a photo (through his verified twitter account) with his arms around President Barack Obama, Leonard Ellerbe (Mayweather’s advisor.) You can see that photo on this page. Now perhaps this isn’t 100% proof that “Money” will get a presidential entrance to the ring against Manny Pacquiao… but it shows there is some kind of connection… and from that one can only come to the conclusion, that once again “Money” can probably back up his words. I am not a gambling man… Mayweather is… So, anyone want to take him up on a presidential bet?! Didn’t think so.
