Former Light heavyweight and cruiserweight world champion Tomasz Adamek (45-2-28KO) spoke to 8CountNews about his big upcoming showdown Vs. Eddie Chambers. Adamek is coming off of a very impressive UD victory over Nagy Aguilera which took place back on March 24th. Tomasz tells 8CN that he wanted to step it up on his way back to another title shot, and facing Eddie Chambers does just that. Chambers is no joke, in fact, this is a very dangerous fight for Adamek. Speed is usually one of Tomasz’ advantages, but against Chambers his speed will be met with equal speed, if not faster speed from Eddie Chambers.
This fight is scheduled for June 16th, at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Adamek as usual will bring with him thousands of Polish fans that will be sure to pack the house. Chambers lives in Philadephia, which isn’t too far from Newark, so he should have a few fans in the house as well.
This is a very interesting match up between two top heavyweights. Chambers is 100 percent healthy, and is ready to get back into the ring. His last performance was against Derric Rossy, back in November of 2011. This fight matches up two top heavyweights and a win puts each guy in position for a heavyweight title shot Vs. one of the Klitschko’s.
