8CountNews sat down with Jr middleweight contender Carlos Molina (19-4-6KO-2D) and talked to him about his big HBO fight Vs. James Kirkland. This fight is scheduled for March 24th at the Reliant Center in Houston, TX. Molina is coming off very impressive win over Allen Conyers, and Kermit Cintron. Previous to those two wins, he shocked everyone by battling Cuban contender Erislandy Lara, a fight that many thought he should have won.
Molina is a very dangerous fighter who for some reason still has not been given the respect that he deserves. His performance Vs. Lara got everyone’s attention, and his most recent performance and victory over Kermit Cintron opened some more eyes.
James Kirkland’s most recent fight was a very impressive victory over Mexican brawler Alfredo Angulo (20-2-17KO). Kirkland bounced back nicely after dropping a fight against Nobuhiro Ishida back in April of 2011. Kirkland has strung together 3 straight wins so this fight Vs. Molina is a huge one.
