”He’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer” was one of the things Floyd Mayweather Jr was quoted as saying about Manny Pacquiao last week. Mayweather basically called Pacquiao, ”stupid” in yet another foot in mouth moment that has come back to haunt him.
So let me ask this, What’s not stupid about losing one million dollars on a basketball game bet? There may be a day in the future when Floyd Mayweather Jr will look back and say, ”Man I sure wish I had that money back.”
It’s all too common, athletes who acquire financial freedom are only financially free for so long.
If this report is true, and Floyd really did squander close to one million dollars on a basketball game, this would a terrible shame. Read HERE
Can you imagine what one million dollars could do for a Haitian town that was leveled by an earthquake? The children who have not had food or clean water in weeks and weeks sure could use that money, no?
Or how about a town in The Philippines that was destroyed by a Typhoon and flooding? Do you think they could use some of that million dollars that was thrown away by Floyd on a basketball game bet? I do.
Floyd has been seen on video burning 100 dollar bills. This just makes me cringe when I think about it. So many human beings around the world are starving to death. There are kids in Africa that walk up to 20 miles a day just to get to a clean water source. They have to because their local water in many cases is polluted, and if they drink it, they will get sick and in many cases they die from it. What would one million dollars do for those kids? It would build fresh water wells for many villages, that’s what it would do. It would save lives.
If the reports are true, and Floyd did in fact drop one million on a basketball game, he should be ashamed of himself.
