Can you imagine Manny Pacquiao teaming up with Freddie Roach to start Wild Card Promotions? In the last epidsode of the Freddie Roach show, Manny asked Freddie Roach about starting their own Promotional company called Wild Card Promotions. I couldn’t quite hear what kind of a response Freddie Roach gave him. There would be some major players in the game if that was to happen. Toprank, Goldenboy, and Wild Card Promotions. That would be a game changer.
I’m sure Bob Arum was not too thrilled about hearing that. He would argue that Toprank Promotions is who made you, how dare you start your own Promotions company to compete against us. If you noticed, maybe Freddie didn’t want to say anything. Apparently the bug has gotten into Manny’s ear that he CAN start his own company. Only problem is, he has his own Promotional company. MP Promotions. So why the link with Wild Card Promotions?
Either way, this is good news. The fighters need to take it into their own hands. Oscar De La Hoya is doing it with Goldenboy Promotions, Floyd Mayweather with Mayweather Promotions, Saul Alvarez with Canelo Promotions, and also we have Miguel Cotto with Cotto Promotions.
