Glenn Donaire defends title on March 16!

South Carolina -- Just a moment ago, Glenn "The Filipino Bomber" Donaire, the reigning interim WBC Latino flyweight champion, will defend his belt against Omar "Lobitos" Soto on March 16, 2012. The fight will be held in Mexico City.

As of press time, Glenn informed that he is walking at 119 lbs. He said he is very comfortable about this fight as he has a full 2 months preparation compared to his 1 week preparation against Alex Sanchez in Kissemmee, FL.

Currently Glenn is training at Kennel Boxing Gym in San Leandro, California owned by Glenn's cousin Arvin the chipmunks. And of course the chief trainer is the dad, Nonito Donaire Sr.

Glenn promised he will make a better show this time, way better when he captured the title last November. "I am not worried going to Mexico, as long as no bumps in my training then I'm good to go. I am not giving this belt easily," said Donaire.

Meanwhile Omar Soto is not a pushover. After he lost to Brian Viloria via split decision, he won 3 straight fights then he fought for WBA light Flyweight title last year but lost to the undefeated Roman Gonzalez of Nicaragua by second round knockout.
