Tacloban City (3 July) — The Filipino?s resiliency and determination to be triumphant by beating all odds ? that was reflected in Manny Paquiao?s winning over Oscar Larios.
The eyes of the whole Filipino nation were glued to the television screens as Manny Pacquiao defended his boxing title Sunday morning. Everyone, young and old had one silent prayer, that his hero Manny Pacquio win the bout.
Truly, Manny?s winning is the victory of the entire Filipino nation. His winning is an inspiration to the young people whose future appear to be gloomy and bleak because of economic difficulties.
Manny?s victory at the Araneta Coliseum is a reflection of the Filipino?s fighting spirit, self discipline, hardwork and determination which the country needs in order to achieve the political reforms and the economic prosperity that every Filipino is hoping for.
The Filipino people must be as focused if this country is to move towards the realization of the country?s goal of achieving political reforms and more economic stability. The same unity of purpose must be observed instead of looking for faults and blunders; instead of bickering and political noise.
Manny?s winning should be a reminder that the Filipino nation will only emerge triumphant over the adversities and challenges it is currently facing, if every Filipino will unite with one another and together beat all odds. (PIA 8)
