WORLD boxing champion Manny Pacquiao will have to stick to the ring where he has amassed a fortune, instead of earning peanuts in the other sport he loves–billiards.
Pacquiao was knocked out Friday in the second round of the 2004 Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte Araw ng Dabaw Billiards Tournament at the Cherry Hill Billiard Hall on Bolton St. here.
But, except for one, top-rated internationalists advanced to the third round in the tournament which offers a cash prize of P50,000.00 to the champion.
Asian Games doubles gold medalist Gandy “Yang-Yang” Sapsal and veteran Dennis Orcullo eliminated their rivals to enter the top 16 of the 2004 Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte Araw ng Dabaw Billiards Tournament Saturday.
Bowing out of the tournament was Cebu City standout Dodong Gabica who succumbed to General Santos City bet Robby Yugama 7-9.
