Moments ago inside of the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, the official weigh-in was held for tomorrow night?s HBO twin bill.
In the evening?s main event, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. defends his WBC middleweight crown against worthy challenger Marco Antonio Rubio while Nonito Donaire faces off with Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. for the vacant WBO junior featherweight crown in the televised co-feature.
Donaire came in weighing 121.6 pounds in his move up from the bantamweight division while Vazquez was right on the limit at 122 pounds. The animosity has seemed to boil over between the two men and their will be serious tension when the bell rings for their bout.
Chavez Jr. appears to be in great shape and weighed in at 159.5 pounds while Rubio came in at 159 pounds. That bout also is intriguing, as Chavez could find himself in a rough battle with Rubio, who is riding a winning streak and is full on confidence heading into what may be his last crack at a title.
