He was a given get out of jail free card by Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa so that he could fulfill his contractual obligation for a mega fight on May 5th. The only problem is an opponent. May 5th is not a good day for team Pacquiao. Robert Guerrero was rejected as an opponent. They could not make an agreement with Canelo Alvarez. The only other foe besides Pacquiao could be Amir Khan, but Khan just lost a controversial decision to Peterson. Would fans buy Mayweather Khan?
Yesterday, Floyd Mayweather Jr. made good on another promise and donated $100,000.00 to a breast cancer research foundation. After presenting a check to Susan G. Komen for the Cure research and support foundation, Floyd Mayweather talked to a group of reporters at his gym in Las Vegas.
?I am ready to make the fight,? said Mayweather:? I hear that Manny Pacquiao wants to fight. So the only hold up is Bob Arum. Right now I am saying it?s a go. May 5th is a go? All Bob Arum has to say it?s ago and then it?s Mayweather vs. Pacquiao on May 5th.?
Undefeated Mayweather implored Bob Arum to call Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions or to call his business advisor Al Haymon.
Last night Golden Boy, Oscar De La Hoya used twitter to keep everyone posted on developments. ?Good night. By the way Bob hasn?t called,? said De La Hoya:? What more do you want from Floyd or Golden Boy Boxing. Manny, yes you beat me but I really feel sorry for you. I wish you all the best in your career and life in general. No more tweeting about the fight until Bob answers his phone or calls Golden Boy.?
