Jan 18, 2012 – Boxing fan Joe from San Jo (San Jose, California for those of you not in the know) brought some major heat when he called The Boxing Truth Radio last Sunday night to discuss the never ending speculation regarding a potential bout between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
Listening to Joe lambast Pacquiao, a fighter that had developed so much good will amongst boxing fans in recent years, truly demonstrates how the tables have turned in the court of public opinion when it comes to Mayweather and the Filipino.
When Mayweather called out Manny Pacquiao last week on Twitter, throwing down the gauntlet like he had never done before, fans turned to Pacquiao and promoter Bob Arum to get a deal done for May 5th.
Unfortunately for fans, Arum returned from a visit to the Philippines where he met with Pacquiao, with a trunk load of excuses.
?Manny needs more time to heal the horrible cut he suffered against Juan Manuel Marquez in November!?
?We need to build a stadium in Las Vegas to house the masses who will be coming to see the fight!?

These sort of statements verbalized by Arum in several media outlets, along with Pacquiao?s unwillingness to push Arum into a Mayweather fight has boxing fans questioning Pacman?s interest in Mayweather.
Fair is fair.
Mayweather was called a chicken, and much worse, for nixing a 2010 bout due to requests for extensive drug testing and creating an atmosphere where many questioned if Pacquiao was a clean fighter.
For the record, everyone involved deserves some egg on their face, including Golden Boy Promotions, and HBO, for their inability to deliver a highly desired bout over the course of nearly three years, but for now, its Pacquiao?s turn to take the heat.
