Despite what some of Pacquiao’s detractors are saying, he will go down in history as an all time great fighter. Unfortunately, as Manny’s popularity has grown over the years, so have the number of people that go negative on him.
Look, nobody is perfect right? Pacman has made some mistakes and he’s human just like the rest of us. The man has put an entire nation on his back and ran with it. I can go on for hours about what Manny has done for the people in the Philippines. I can also talk about what he’s done for people right here in America as well.
As far as what Manny has done in the ring, that speaks for itself. I have said many times that Pacquiao has been force fed nothing but Top Rank fighters. This is true, but it’s not entirely his fault, especially earlier on in his career. I think at the current time, perhaps Manny could step up and demand Mayweather, but Arum is opposed to that and that my friends is another story.
Pacquiao came onto the scene and has taken the sport of boxing from the grave and he gave it life. You don’t have to like him, but you should respect what he’s done for the sport.
