Arthur Abraham is one of the few boxers in the world to have made ten successful defenses of his title back when he was the IBF Middleweight Champion before vacating it and moving up to the super middleweight division. He was listed at number 13 in The Ring Magazine?s list of top 100 fighters back in 2009. With 26 knockouts in 35 fights, we can safely say that one of his best qualities is his knockout power. He’s suffered 3 losses in his career, and they were all against some of the best fighters in the super middleweight division.
His next fight against Pablo Farias will take place in the Baden Arena in Offenburg, Germanyon Jan 15, with the tickets already being sold out. Farias, record stands at 19 fights with 1 loss and 11 knock outs. Even though he doesn?t have a ton of experience, the young and tough 23 year old is looking to step up and face the bigger names, starting this Saturday against Arthur Abraham.

I have tried to check my mistakes which I?ve let in previous matches. I know that Farias is strong sportsman and he is still undefeated. At the same time I am sure that 2012 will be a beginning of new victories for me. I have a great aim; I want to get the title of the World Champion again. I promise a beautiful match for the boxing fans on January 14.?
His confidence is sounding similar to when he attained the vacant IBF Middleweight Title in 2005 after he beat Kingsley Ikeke by 5th round knockout. Since then he had been going strong, bulldozing his way through his opponents while defending his title, until he entered the Super Six World Boxing Classic Tournament. His fellow participants were, Carl Froch, Andre Dirrell, Andre Ward, Mikkel Kessler, and Jermain Taylor. He did not do particularly well in the tournament. He suffered losses to Froch, Dirrell, and Ward. Right now he has a lot of lost ground to make up for, as he looks to make a statement by winning impressively against the young Argentinean this Saturday evening in Germany.
