The Top Rank Gym in Las Vegas was as busy as I have ever seen it yesterday as bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire trained rigorously ahead of his February 4th fight with Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. Donaire meets the brash Puerto Rican in an HBO-televised showcase on February 4th in San Antonio, Texas and will be gunning for the vacant WBO junior featherweight title.
With the fight a little over three weeks away, Donaire had a special guest in the building on Wednesday in the form of Apl.De.Ap, a Filipino-American rapper and producer known best for his role in the widely-successful group The Black Eyed Peas.
Apl.De.Ap had been enjoying his time in Las Vegas with pit stops by Tao Nightclub and the local CES convention and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the lively session put forth by Donaire, particularly his six rounds of sparring with Russian featherweight prospect Evgeny Gradovich.
