Ivaylo Gotzev looks out for his fighters. His reputation as a fighters type of manager didn’t happen over night. He’s proved through his works over the years that he looks out for his guys, and he makes world champions. Gotzev has worked with guys like former heavyweight champ Sam Peter, Vassily Jirov, and the legendary James Toney. He currently works with two very promising and probable future world champions in Ismail Sillakh and Russian heavyweight Oleg Platov.
Gotzev is really high on the young heavyweight from Russia, Platov. He tells 8CN that Platov is an exciting knockout puncher that will definitely excite the American fans once he makes his arrival. Look for big things out of Platov in the near future. Ivaylo also talks about Ismail Sillakh and a potential fight Vs. Jean Pascal. Gotzev tells 8CN that Pascal’s team seems a bit hesitant to sign on the dotted line. Let’s hope that they can make that fight, because it would be a good one.
