Would Manny Pacquiao choose to abandon a tangled thread?
Untangling the same thread does not really fit Pacquiao’s ability to take things with a grain of salt. That’s not his strongest appeal in boxing, not even his take over Juan Manuel Marquez, the great counter-puncher. Pacquiao himself knows less about making stitches-net, maybe nothing at all. But, he sure knows that the best cockfighters are those who are nearing their retiring age (between 4-5 years old) and are great counter-punchers and have been trained to dance on top of tangled threads, so to speak, granting they are from fearless bloodlines.
Other than 90-day jail termer pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, Jr., only old Marquez, Miguel Cotto, Timothy Bradley and Lamont Peterson are the probable four being mentioned by Top Rank Godfther Robert “Bob” Arum as front-runners for Manny Pacquiao’s next fight. But, among these four, Marquez, while nearing his retirement, still stands firm as the biggest draw in terms of Pay-per-View, prompting the general paying boxing public’s interest to prevail.
