Saludar's Tune-up Fight Cut Short

WBO World Youth Flyweight Champion Froilan ?The Sniper? Saludar's tune up fight did not last even for a whole 3-minute round as he dropped Nelson Llanos with a vicious body shot to the left rib cage for the full count in the 1st round. It took Llanos several minutes to recover from the pain which made it difficult for him to breath. International referee Ferdie Estrella reached the count of 10 while Llanos was still slumped in a neutral corner. It would still be minutes before Llanos was helped to a chair by the ringside physician and several minutes more for him to walk out of the ring.

Saludar's Manager-trainer, Joven H. Jimenez, said he thought Llanos would make Saludar work for at least 4 rounds. But, as in his previous fights, Froilan "In-a-Hurry" Saludar presses for immediate action right after the bell to finish his fight as early as possible. Llanos tried to engage but when he felt Saludar's power, he began to retreat, albeit, unsuccessfully. Saludar was all over him to the approving applause of the delighted Imus, Cavite crowd.

In attendance were international Sammy Gello-ani and WBO Asia Pacific Vice President Leon Panoncillo.
