Earlier today American super star boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr. was sentenced to serving ninety days in jail for hitting his baby?s mama. Floyd was arrested for this offence in September of 2010 after his ex girlfriend, Josie Harris complained to the police in Las Vegas that Mayweather struck her repeatedly in the head and then threatened to kill her. Charged with felony battery, coercion and robbery Mayweather was released shortly afterwards after paying $30,000 bail.
Mayweather Jr. made a deal with the prosecutors for felony charges to be reduced to a misdemeanor and plead guilty to domestic violence. Extremely unhappy about violence taking place in front of children judge sentenced Floyd Mayweather Jr. to six month in jail with three moths of that sentence suspended, plus one hundred hours of community service and 12 month domestic violence program along with $2500 fine. Which only goes to show you that money can?t buy happiness or even freedom sometimes. Floyd Mayweather is scheduled to turn himself in to serve his sentence in jail on January 6th, 2012.
