Thursday night marked the final working night of the 49th annual WBC Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. It has been a memorable week thus far and several boxing notables were in the building for the going away dinner.
Mike Tyson, Oscar De La Hoya, Sergio Martinez, Bernard Hopkins, Roberto Duran, Evander Holyfield, Roger Mayweather, Celestino Caballero, Jean Pascal, former welterweight champ Tony DeMarco, Ricardo Lopez, Cornelius Boza-Edwards, and several others all made appearances. While the convention may technically be over, there is still a boxing card on Friday night that will serve as the unofficial finale for several people as Marco Antonio Rubio will face journeyman Matt Vanda at the Mandalay Bay.
In line for Rubio could be a crack at WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
