MANNY PACQUIAO is taking a big risk in agreeing to fight Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez on May 8, but his handlers are confident the Filipino?s tremendous fighting heart and incredible power should prevail in the end.
Owing to the sudden turn of events, Pacquiao?s business manager Rod Nazario revealed that the Gensan southpaw should be on a plane bound for Los Angeles on Friday morning. At the latest, Pacquiao will fly to the US on Monday morning accompanied by training assistant Lito Mondejar.
“I have full confidence in Manny?s determination to win. Kahit sinong Hudas lalabanan ni Manny at hindi siya nasisiraan ng loob hindi gaya ng ibang boxer,?? Nazario said.
Nazario immediately rushed back to the L&M Gym and instructed his long-time associate, Ramon Lainez, to request their travel agency to secure tickets for Pacquiao and Mondejar.
Pacquiao is expected to be given business class seats on board a Northwest Airlines jet on his first trip back to Freddie Roach?s Wild Card Boxing Club since last year.
