Super featherweight contender Eloy Perez (23-0-7 KO) will challenge current WBO Super featherweight world champion Adrien Broner (22-0-18KO) on February 25th, on HBO. Perez sat down with 8CN and talked about this huge opportunity, a dream come true for him. Eloy’s most recent visit to the ring was in October when he dismantled Ira Terry. He scored a 6th round TKO. This is no doubt the biggest fight of his career, and he knows that it is an opportunity that only comes around a few times (if that much) in a boxing career.
Broner is a tremendous talent, with very fast hands and knockout power. His destruction of Jason Litzau back in June on national television got the attention of the boxing world. More recently, Broner destroyed Vincente Rodriguez in 3 rounds.
This should be a very interesting fight as both guys bring speed and power into the ring. For Broner, Perez is no Rodriguez, and for Perez, Ira Terry is no Broner. Tune into this fight on HBO on February 25th, it’s sure to be a thriller.
