Defending IBF international featherweight titleholder Rey ?Boom Boom? Bautista (31-2, 23 KOs) tipped the scale at 126 pounds, right on the dot for th featherweight limit. His opponent, undefeated Miguel Angel Mendoza (17-0-1, 17 KOs) of Mexico, also registered 126 pounds. Bautista said he had not experienced any difficulties in making the weight and is in tiptop shape to make the first defense of his title.
?Mendoza predicted six rounds,? Bautista told the press after the weigh in. ?I am not going to make any prediction but we?ll see who gets knocked out.?
