Madison Square Garden is sold-out and Saturday evening. Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito will settle their differences in the ring. Many are expecting a brawl, some say Margarito will prevail. But, as the two fighters approached the scales Friday afternoon, it is obvious that Cotto has this hatred for Margarito.
Will there be more of a Puerto Rico chant for Cotto, or a Mexican flavor for Margarito? Cotto has that enormous following of fans in New York City, as does Margarito. It has been a contentious buildup to a fight that resulted in Margarito taking the title from Cotto two years ago. That lasting image of Cotto and a battered face, the tainted hand wraps controversy, and eye licensing issue of Margarito added to the buildup.
