Reports are that Top Rank head Bob Arum has reached out to some investment groups in order to make the big fight that every fan has been waiting for. A Floyd Mayweather Jr Vs. Manny Pacquiao fight is being discussed but it’s not being discussed with Golden Boy Promotions.
Apparently Arum is doing the end around on GBP and looking for outside investors to help make this fight happen. This fight is going to cost a pretty penny to promote, as both fighters will no doubt look to make no less than 50 million dollars each.
Dallas Texas is one city being mentioned as a possible venue, and that would make sense due to the size of Texas Stadium. If this fight does get made, it’s going to require a very large venue because it will go down as one of the biggest fights in boxing history.
The fight could be billed “Good Vs. Evil” if they wanted it to be. Now personally, I don’t think Floyd Mayweather is evil, but many of his detractors do. Floyd plays the bad guy very well, and he certainly sells tickets.
