Earlier today in New York, Antonio Margarito and Brandon Rios were spotted at the Kingsway Gym getting ready for their respective fights this Saturday night at the nearby Madison Square Garden.
Margarito is challenging Miguel Cotto for his WBA junior middleweight crown in a rematch of their July 2008 fight, a contest won by Margarito by way of an 11th round TKO in Las Vegas. Rios will be defending his WBA lightweight belt against Manchester?s John Murray on the HBO-televised pay-per-view undercard in a fight that is sure to deliver fireworks.
Margarito and Rios are stable mates and friends, with both men being trained by Robert Garcia. Instead of spending the bulk of their camp at Garcia?s personal gym in Oxnard, California, Margarito and Rios traveled to Temoaya, Mexico for several weeks to train for their bouts.
