Saul ??Canelo?? Alvarez vs. Kermit ??the Killer?? Cintron- Canelo Alvarez entered the ring this past weekend with the look of a hunter. Cintron played the part of the hunted, Cintron allowed for Alvarez to drown him in somewhat shallow water. It appeared that every single punch that Alvarez was able to land on Cintron landed with real bad intentions. Cintron found himself in trouble early and never seemed to make the right adjustments to keep the young lion off of him, Cintron tried to double jab, Cintron also tried to land over hand rights, nothing seemed to work. Alvarez was determined to catch his prey, Alvarez was not going to settle for just shooting his prey, Alvarez was not going to stop until his prey was gutted out and thrown on the table. The end came in round number five as the ref jumped in and saved Cintron from receiving further career ending shots. After the fight, Max Kellerman asked the young star who was next on his hit list, Canelo?s answer was none other than Floyd ??Money?? Mayweather Jr. Man, this boy has got some big nuts on him, quick somebody call Abner Mares so Abner can tag them nuts up and bring them right back down to normal size. On a serious note, I loved that Canelo called out Floyd for the simple fact that the bold move will keep Canelo?s name in the press. Canelo took a page out of Floyd?s book when Floyd earlier this year mentioned that if Amir Khan wants to fight Floyd, that Khan must first fight Jessie Vargas. That move kept Jessie Vargas?s name in the press and people began to look him up. Good move. In this case though, I wouldn?t put it past Floyd to grant Canelo his death wish and make the fight happen in the very popular Mexican fight months of May and September. I mean why wouldn?t Floyd make this happen? Canelo has a very strong fan base, Canelo is 100% Mexican(even though he looks like Archie Andrews from the Archie Comics and NBA star Blake Griffin) and Canelo at just 21 years old is not ready for the big spotlight..So in saying all that, Canelo is looking quite tasty to Money May right about now. Take note Mr. Pacquiao, this is how you make things happen, call out your opponent and put him on blast so then this backs your promoter into a corner and force him to make a move. Speaking of moves, I wouldn?t doubt it if Kermit Cintron is right now trying to get his hands on Canelo?s wraps to inspect them to see if he can spot a blood stain on the lower right hand corner. I kid, I kid, but you gotta admit, that was pretty funny. In all honesty, if I?m Canelo, I would seriously think about playing with a dog like K-9 first before entertaining the thought of playing with a wolf like Floyd. Like my boy Michael Williams says, Floyd would give Canelo that lovely 2 piece combo with an extra side of mashed potatoes and gravy.
Showtime, December 3rd, No low blows about it- Abner Mares vs Joseph Agbeko prediction- This is going to be a spectacular fight from start to finish. Agbeko is going to come out very aggressive and will be looking to bring the fire to Mares. Can Mares be able to dish out the fire right back at Agbeko? I personally feel that Mares will be able to catch and shoot shots and will take it inside and dig deep and touch Agbeko downstairs, minus the low blows this time. Agbeko would be wise to rough Mares up and turn this clash into a dog fight. It?s going to be a tough fight to score with a lot of close rounds, a very tight close contested bout. I?m picking Mares to win the shootout by split decision. Mares by SD.
