TACTICS bring in spotlight as Miguel Cotto is back in New York to face Antonio Margarito in a rematch scheduled for the World Boxing Association Super World light middleweight championship at the Madison Square Garden on December 3, 2011.
And no apologies can be expected as these two rivals face off nothing but revenge versus defense over offense. The thrill is pure. A heightened sensitivity to threats ensues. Both Cotto and Margarito would take the brightest spot of that 20″ x 20″ near all-time highs as they respectively visualize of what will come to pass on their fight night.
This rematch of the two great warriors springs from Margarito scoring a brutal knockout in 2008 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, that ended Cotto?s trail-blazing record via TKO in the eleventh, handing him his first professional defeat.
But, Cotto’s loss has not haunted him, knowing the illegal handwraps which were discovered on the hands of Margarito as were intercepted immediately just before the latter took the punishing rounds from the hands of Sugar Shane Mosley the follwing year. Even though Margarito got suspended of said illegal use supposedly to be used against Mosley, skeptics believed Margarito’s victory over Cotto may have been spoiled by same usage of same kind of materials that put his face in bloody mess.
