8CountNews sat down with current undefeated cruiserweight contender Ryan Coyne (18-0-7KO) and got his thoughts on his recent 1st round knockout over Jonathan Corn. Coyne tells 8CN that he will make his return to the ring on the Roy Jones Jr under card in Atlanta, GA on December 10th. Coyne will face former Olympian Dante Craig in an 8 round bout.
Coyne also tells 8CN that he will be making a run at the light heavyweight division going forward. He feels that at light heavyweight he will be fighting at a more optimal weight which will further enhance his boxing career. Ryan also talks about working with former 3 time heavyweight world champion Michael Moorer. Coyne hooked up with Moorer when he was brought in as a sparring partner for Polish heavyweight Mariusz Wach. He’s currently ranked number 4 by the WBA and looks to get a world title shot sometime in 2012.
