Fans speak out

The never-ending debate surrounding the recent Manny Pacquaio-Juan Manuel Marquez fight has generated an enormous amount of comments on facebook and twitter. Fans can?t seem to stop talking about it and for good reason. There are some who enjoy bringing down Pacquiao because of crab mentality then justify the scathing tirades by claiming they?re doing it for his own good. Others revere him like he can?t do no wrong. Whatever side you take, please respect each other?s opinion. It?s a free country but refrain from calling those whom you disagree with as idiots or morons let?s be Christian about this. No one is entitled to beat his breast and proclaim himself as God?s gift to mankind.

Listen to what the fans say (taken from TheDeanQuinito twitter and Joaquin Henson facebook:

Patrick Ma ?I have absolutely no doubt Manny outboxed Marquez and there should be no rematch as this will support the theory that Marquez may have actually won. Really, the only thing driving the rematch option is the fact Manny stated that he will leave no doubt after this fight who is the champion. He never once said that he would need to knock Marquez out to prove this. So, let?s abide by the judges decision and move on. I totally agree, let?s all rally behind Manny as he is the true champion.?

Ian de la Paz ?Sad day for boxing world. It?s a shame to put it bluntly. Evil reared its ugly head for money. The who?s who in boxing definitely protected its vested interest. No shame on the two fighters as they have their best shot. But God knows who clearly won the fight but as Arum said the future for Manny is bright because the Mega-Money fight is alive by virtue to Pacquiao?s win over the old warrior Marquez. Maybe, Juan Manuel is not that Marquetable.?

Donhil Hilbero ?Almost all of us underestimated Marquez. We predicted an early finish but JM had other plans. Another close call for the two warriors with Pacman getting the favorable verdict. It was not convincing, though, for the fight could?ve gone either way. But honestly, I think Marquez landed the cleaner blows and the more telling shots. Gotta give credit to the Mexican. He could?ve won. Yes, Pacman was the aggressor but I think he failed to overwhelm Marquez with his flurry of punches. Marquez was able to make use of his style and tactics simply because Manny wasn?t relentless enough to suffocate the Mexican. Pacquiao?s supposedly faster between the two but Marquez held his own. Whether we like it or not, it was another controversial decision that ideally must be ironed out.?
