Why are some people laughing at the possibility of a Robert Guerrero Vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr fight? If it’s not going to be Manny Pacquiao, I would rather it be someone like Guerrero. Here you have a guy that’s not only risen from the amateurs and captured multiple world titles, but he’s also a stand up class act as well. Guerrero in my opinion has earned the right to score a nice payday and face a Floyd Mayweather.
Mayweather is coming off of his big win over Victor Ortiz and if reports are correct, Team Money recently reached out to Arum for the Pacquiao fight. Reports are that they had the door slammed in their face. With that said, if true, why not go after a guy like Robert Guerrero? He is a tough formidable opponent with skills, and a ton of heart. Guerrero has been shoulder to shoulder with his wife throughout her battle with cancer. He’s a true gentleman, and inside of the ring, he is a warrior that takes on all comers.
Instead of what boxing normally does, and that’s to throw paper champions and guys that have not earned big payday shots, why not give Guerrero a shot? Mayweather and Guerrero would be a good scrap. Guerrero would certainly show up to win that’s for sure. There may be a few other names out there that make sense for Floyd but Guerrero’s should be one of them.
