Jr welterweight contender Lamont Peterson (29-1-14KO-1D) sat down with 8CN and shared his thoughts on the big upcoming fight Vs. current world champion Amir Khan. Peterson tells 8CN that this has been the best training camp of his career. This fight is scheduled to take place on December 10th, in Washington DC. Lamont talks about the big stage and how times have change for him over the past few years. Peterson has a huge fan-base in the Memphis, TN and Washington DC areas and is looking forward to fighting back home. Peterson was raised in Washington DC, but fought many times in the Memphis/Tunica area as he was climbing the rankings.
Peterson tells 8CN that he is ready to defeat Amir Khan. He speaks about growing and coming into his own on the big stage now that he has a few big ones under his belt. Peterson came up short Vs. Tim Bradley, then bounced back with a nice MD Vs. Victor Ortiz, then he knocked out Victor Kayo. Lamont also talks about his brother Anthony Peterson who will also be fighting on the card.
