When undefeated light welterweight champion from Palm Springs, California, Timothy “The Desert Storm” Bradley went to Detroit in January of this year to unify the titles, he discovered a harsh truth; his was not a household name. Highly publicized HBO unification showdown between two undefeated champions attracted little fan fair in Detroit and did little to help Bradley with his name recognition. He did win the fight, but his opponent, Devon Alexander, did not show up, thus creating a real stinker for the first boxing event of this year. Perfect inside the squared circle Bradley decided that he had to do something about it outside the ring.
