G, enough is enough. Bernard Hopkins was in a fight in which he used tactics to tire his opponent by leaning on his back forcing Chad Dawson to stand up after damage was done. We all know Hopkins like to throw the lead right hand and run in with his head. Dawson complained to the ref about being dragged to the ground earlier in the fight. Hopkins needs to take ownership for rough play tactics even when its used against him. Dawson didn’t foul Hopkins. Dawson was preventing Hopkins from fouling him. Dawson didnt reach to grab a leg. Hopkins thigh was being used to create contact to Dawsons upper body as Dawson leaned over to duck the right hand & the Hopkins next tactic was soon to follow as he leaned on Dawsons back. All Dawson did was take ownership of the fight that was being presented to him by surprising Hopkins (Art of War) with superb timing when he pushed him off with his shoulder. The leg grab was a reflex move which he immediately let go once he figured the leg was no longer a weapon. – Kelvin Pompey
Leon’s Response: Kelvin, Hopkins was in a no-contest. When I first saw the fight, I thought it should be a no contest hands down. To say Dawson did not commit a foul is insane. There are ways for him to prevent Hopkins from using some of his tricks other than throwing him to the ground. We agree to disagree. You’re acting as though you know what Dawson was thinking throughout the fight and when he did what he did and some fans are acting as though they felt the pain B-Hop did when he hit the canvas. I hope we can all agree that it didn’t tickle.

Now let me get this straight Bill, you want me to badger a living legend and one of the greatest to ever lace them up and ask him if he was faking because he was scared to continue against Chad Dawson? As Jean Pascal would say, be for weal. I don’t think Hopkins will fight him again because there’s no money in it as evidenced by the fact that it had to get PPV’d, not because he’s afraid of Dawson.
