One of boxing?s most famous divisions has received many facelifts over the years. Unlike in years past, the division has many fresh faces with one dominant champion. With Sergio Martinez unable to get opponents we thought we could give a laundry list of potentially exciting fights and opponents for Sergio Martinez in the middleweight division.

Alvarez is one of the most popular fighters to come out of Mexico and his drawing power in Mexico makes him a bankable star. He is a ferocious body puncher who throws a lot of punches. Up next for him is Kermit Cintron. Without a doubt his biggest challenge to date.
Miguel Cotto (36-2 29ko):
He is a superstar in boxing that has given fans many memories over the years with his exciting fights. He is a combination of boxer/puncher and has one of the best left hooks in boxing; His loss to Margarito and Pacquiao has many people feeling he is not in his prime. But one thing you can count on with Cotto is getting your money?s worth. He has been ducking Sergio Martinez but if victorious over Margarito might be open to challenging him.
Antonio Margarito (38-7):
His reputation is forever damaged for cheating. But whether you like him or not he is a volume puncher that provides excitement whenever he fights. His ability to break down his opponent in a fight have long made him one of the most ducked fighters in the sport. His next fight is with Cotto and a win will probably get him a rematch with Martinez one of only two people that have ever defeated Martinez.
