Do you want to see how fast the boxing world would see Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao happen? Remove the promoters and the advisers from the negotiations. I guarantee if Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao sat down at a table with nobody else in the room, the two men would hash out a deal in the same day.
There are too many obstacles and people with self agendas in the way. Floyd and Manny both want to fight. I don’t care what anyone says, Floyd is not scared of Manny Pacquiao and Manny Pacquiao is not scared of Floyd Mayweather.
Let’s look at this logically. Money is what makes the world go around, right? Why would Floyd or Manny turn their backs on the kind of money that they can both make in this fight? Manny and Floyd would probably both walk into the blood testing place together if that’s what it took to make this fight.
Does anyone honestly believe that a simple blood test is what’s REALLY preventing this fight from happening? Yes, I think it’s factual that Floyd wants Manny to take the test but it’s not Manny that’s flat out refusing to take a test. There’s something else at work here. Again remove the people in the middle out of the way, and this fight is a done deal within hours. Advertisement
If the day ever comes where Manny becomes a free agent, we will see a showdown with Floyd shortly after. Floyd doesn’t need a promoter, he has the money and Mr Haymon at his side. Pacquiao currently does have a promoter, and he has to fork over a lot of his money as a result. If Manny didn’t have to deal with promoters and advisers, he and Floyd could nail down the numbers, and we would have a fight.
Manny could do this with a few attorney’s and Freddie Roach to make sure he was dealt a fair deal. Floyd and Manny both have the star power to promote this fight themselves. The PPV and ticket sales would more than pay both men a handsome payday.
Remove the obstacles in the way and we have the biggest fight in boxing in decades.
