MANNY PACQUIAO will get past Marco Antonio Barrera easily, but it’s going to be a different story with Rocky Juarez.
This was the observation made by boxing man Rod Nazario, who handled Pacquiao for over a decade, after watching yesterday’s slambang world superfeatherweight title bout between Barrera and Juarez at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Kinakapos na (si Barrera),” said Nazario, who sat at ringside at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, when Pacquiao mauled Barrera to a pulp.
And Juarez?
Not only that.
Barrera was awarded a split decision by the three judges although when it was first announced, it was ruled a draw.
Barrera had talked about a rematch with Pacquiao days before he faced Juarez and the Mexico City native even bragged that he would be willing to suare it off with the GenSan bomber as early as November this year.
Pacquiao, however, has different plans.
Pacquiao is committed to meet Erik Morales in a megabuck rubber match in October, but should breeze past Oscar Larios on July 2 at the Araneta Coliseum.
In the event Pacquiao disposes of Larios and beats up Morales again, he will target Barrera in early-2007.
