LOS ANGELES?With heavy sweat pouring, boxing champion Manny Pacquiao looked sharp during Thursday?s sparring session and work out.
Unlike previous training camps, the Pacman has no TV appearances or special events lined-up as of yet. He said he remains one hundred percent focused on beating Marquez.
Pacquiao said his preparation for his match against Juan Manuel Marquez has made him feel like a young fighter again.
?I really like this fight, kaya yung encouragement sa training, yung determination ko to train hard, naandoon (that?s why I feel encouraged and determined to train hard). Parang ang gana ko sa training (My drive to train) is like when I started in boxing,? explained Pacquiao.
Pacquiao has dominated some of the new sparring partners in the last two weeks. He gave undefeated African boxer Hastings Bwalya a bloody nose, and on Thursday, he knocked down Scottish fighter Jaime Kavanagh twice.
Pacquiao?s camp is expecting the Pound-for-Pound King to knock out Marquez on fight night.
?Honestly I think the fight shouldn?t pass seven or eight rounds. Manny is on his game right now,? predicted Ray Beltran, Pacquiao?s sparring partner for the past nine years.
On Donaire?s Weekend Fight
Pacquiao offered his well-wishes to Nonito Donaire, Jr. his former sparring partner, who is set to defend his Bantamweight title in New York this weekend.
?Good luck bro. Iuwi mo ang karalangan ng atin bansa.,magdala ka ang karalangan( Bring home honor and glory to our country). Kaya mo yan (You can do it). Don?t forget to pray,? said Pacquiao.
