MANILA, Philippines ? Juan Manuel Marquez feels slighted by all the talk about a possible Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight now that he has an upcoming bout against the Filipino champion on November 12.
?I feel bad because the people think he will win,? the Mexican said in HBO?s Face Off: Pacquiao-Marquez.
Marquez said Pacquiao should be prepared for a war because he will prove his claim that he beat the Filipino boxer twice.
?He can’t think about Mayweather? he has to think about November 12,? he said.
Marquez already had 2 close fights against Pacquiao.
In 2004, Marquez fought his way to a controversial draw despite suffering 3 first-round knockdowns to Pacquiao.
The Mexican suffered another knockdown and lost by split-decision to the Filipino during a closely fought rematch in 2008.
?The people will see another war. The people will see another great fight because I prepared myself very hard. I look for the victory,? said Marquez.
?I’ll have the greatest career as soon as I beat him,? he said.
