Earlier tonight in New York, WBC and WBO bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire was spotted by the famed Madison Square Garden ahead of his clash with super flyweight champion Omar Narvaez. Donaire faces the unbeaten Argentinean inside of the Garden?s WaMu Theater on Saturday night in an HBO-televised showcase.
Obviously excited at the thought of fighting inside of the famed ?Mecca of Boxing?, Donaire exclaimed ?I?m in the big leagues now?. While that may be a bit of an overstatement, as Donaire is widely regarded as one of the sport?s four best fighters, he hasn?t been able to hide his enthusiasm heading into the contest.
