Boholano sensation Rey “Boom-Boom” Bautista will lead the star-laden undercard of the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Oscar Larios in “Pilipinas Contra Mexico” on July 2 at the Araneta Coliseum.
Manny Pacquiao Promotions yesterday unveiled an 80-round card, which co-promoter and designated matchmaker Rex “Wakee” Salud described as a “boxing menu fit for the masa and the rich.”
Bautista is scheduled to fight against veteran Alejandro Felix Montiel for 10 rounds.
Aside from Bautista, another Cebu-based slugger, Jimrex Jaca, is pitted against Adrian Valdez; former WBC super-flyweight king Gerry Pe?alosa will take on Garson Guerrero and Mandaue City’s Randy “Kumo’ng Bato” Suico is matched up with Silverio Ortiz, all scheduled for 10 rounds.
The complete fight schedule includes former national amateur boxing team member Roel Laguna versus Doddie Boy Agravio and GenSan fighter Ritchie Metranum vs. Efren Huertas of Manila both for six rounds.
The eight rounders card includes Glenn Porras vs. Cebu’s Jerope Jopar Mercado and Ernel Fontanilla of GenSan vs. Ariel Delgado of Manila.
