It seems that everyone wants a piece of Manny Pacquiao.
The best super-bantamweight boxer and a featherweight legend with a hurting ego are both itching to be lined up against Pacquiao, the current toast of the featherweight class and who had just ?committed? to a million-dollar deal with Home Box Office (HBO) early this week.
According to Golden Boy Promotions, through an Internet report, Oscar Larios, the present holder of the World Boxing Council (WBC) 122-lb belt, is ready to take on the Filipino southpaw on a May 22 playdate should fellow Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez, Pacquiao?s supposed opponent, snub the scheduled bout.
Marquez, the king of the 126-lb divisions in the International Boxing Federation and the World Boxing Association, was said to be dissatisfied with the purse offered him, an amount that allegedly paled in comparison with the seven-digit figure offered to Team Pacquiao.
