When the news broke that Top Rank head Bob Arum inked a promotional deal with Timothy Bradley, it was pretty easy to see what the Bob Father was up to. It’s just a matter of time before we all hear that a deal has been struck that would match up Bradley with the 8 division world champ Manny Pacquiao. This isn’t a matter of if, it’s a matter of when.
This is the latest move to stack another Top Rank fighter onto Manny’s plate. It’s one more reason why the boxing fans will not see a Pacquiao Vs. Mayweather fight anytime in the near future, if ever. I mean why make the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight when you can keep feeding Top Rank fighters to Manny’s mouth? Right? Right. No disrespect to Tim Bradley, he’s a warrior and a good kid, and he deserves a nice payday. No disrespect to Pacquiao either, he will hug a rattlesnake if you let him. Scared just isn’t in Pacquiao’s blood.
So now that we pretty much know that Pacquiao Vs. Bradley will happen, let’s take a look at this fight. It’s actually an interesting match-up. Both guys have a ton of speed, and Bradley likes to come forward. We all know that Pacquiao will come forward, so this fight could be action packed for as long as it lasts. Nobody has really seen how Pacquiao would do against a guy that is just as fast or maybe even faster than he is. Tim Bradley is certainly young, so nobody can say that Pacquiao would be fighting a slower washed up fighter. Heck, it would be nice to just see two guys primed and ready that have equal speed go at it. Bradley Vs. Pacquiao is actually a nice fight. Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao is better.
