ONCE he will be successful in disposing off Ivan Alvarez in his ring return on March 19, Marco Antonio Barrera will be targeting next the head of his Filipino tormentor Manny ?The Destroyer? Pacquiao, who stripped him of everything?from being a Mexican national hero and a revered pound-for-pound featherweight great.
Boxingtalk.com reported that reliable sources from Oscar de la Hoya?s Golden Boy Promotions, the handler of Barrera, have informed the popular boxing website that if all goes well against Alvarez in the Telefutura card, the ?Baby-Faced Assasin? from Mexico will openly challenge Pacquiao to rematch in December.
At this point, however, it remains uncertain whether or not Barrera will get what he wants as Pacquiao recently signed a multi-million dollar, two-fight deal with American promoter Murad Muhammad and HBO, but with no mention of the Mexican fighter as among of the future opponents for the Filipino warrior.
