Exclusive images: Nonito Donaire and Arce in town to check out Marquez-Nishioka

Moments ago, inside of the Marquee Ballroom in Las Vegas, Nevada, champions Nonito Donaire and Jorge Arce were spotted ringside for this evening?s title bout between WBC super bantamweight champion Toshiaki Nishioka and former titleholder Rafael Marquez. Each man has personal reasons for being in Vegas, as Donaire could be in line to face the winner of tonight?s main event while Arce was scheduled to be meeting with Top Rank promoter Bob Arum to discuss his future, which might include an eventual bout with Donaire.

Donaire currently holds the WBC and WBO bantamweight titles and is in line for a meeting with super flyweight champion Omar Narvaez on October 22nd in New York. Donaire has made it known that he will be moving up to 122 pounds come 2012 and either Marquez or Nishioka would serve for a good barometer of where he stands in the division.

Arce captured the WBO super bantamweight crown earlier this year with an upset over Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. on the Manny Pacquiao-Shane Mosley undercard and is coming off of 4th round knockout over South Africa Simphiwe Nongqayi last weekend. Vazquez would love a rematch with Arce but the Los Mochis, Mexico native seems more interested in a lucrative bout with Donaire.
