So what would Manny Pacquiao have done if he was clocked by Mayweather in the same manner as Ortiz was? Firstly, I agree with most Pacquiao fans that Manny wouldn’t have put himself in the position that Ortiz put himself into in the first place. With that said, what if Pacquiao got dropped by Mayweather?
Let us pretend for a second that Manny rammed his head into Floyd Mayweather’s face. Then let us pretend that Floyd cracked Manny when he wasn’t ready for it, and he knocked him on his butt. Now what? Does Manny not make the count? Does Manny get up? Does Manny get up and commence to whooping Floyd Mayweather from corner to corner?
Pacquiao is wicked fast and he hits like a mule. By the 4th round Ortiz was already down 3 rounds and he was getting frustrated. Pacquiao would not have been down 3 rounds to zero. Not in my opinion anyway. Pacquiao keeps a cool head about him in the ring. He more than likely would not let his emotions get the better of him like Ortiz did.
Pacquiao is a seasoned veteran, and Ortiz is a young kid. Ortiz is a good kid, but he lost all composure in the fight and I doubt if Pacquiao would have. Manny’s speed and his power will make things much different for Floyd if and when they get in the ring. There will be no dropping of Manny Pacquiao, that’s for sure.

Pacquiao is a whole new monster for Mayweather. Floyd will not be able to dictate the pace and he will not be able to play the professor role as he did Vs. Ortiz.
When I watched the HBO interview called “Face Off” hosted by Max Kellerman, I saw Floyd the professor and Ortiz the young student. The same roles that took place in the interview transferred right into the ring. Floyd taught the kid a lesson. Manny isn’t a kid, and he will not be taught any lessons in the ring Vs. Floyd Mayweather.
