It?s no secret that UFC President Dana White is critical of Floyd Mayweather Jr., often blaming the flamboyant superstar of being the main reason that a fight with Manny Pacquiao has yet to happen because of his reluctance to face the Filipino icon.
Mayweather returned to ring this past weekend, scoring a bizarre 4th round knockout over Victor Ortiz, but could be found engaging in just as heated of a battle following the fight with HBO analyst Larry Merchant. Mayweather took in some questions from Merchant that he felt were a bit too intruding and returned fire by telling the veteran commentator that he doesn?t ?know sh**? about the sport of boxing before leaving the ring.
It was quite the scene to take in and surprisingly, White seemed to side with Mayweather.
?He has nothing but negative things to say about the fighters,? White stated during a recent interview on ESNewsReporting.com of Merchant. ?He?s attacking Floyd; Floyd just got headbutted in the face. It wasn?t like Floyd was being dirty or anything. The dirtiest thing you can do in boxing is head-butt somebody in the face.?
