First and foremost congratulations to Floyd Mayweather. Secondly, I don’t know why everybody is hating on Floyd Mayweather for doing what he did. In fact, the hating should be aimed at Victor Ortiz for pulling off one of the most blatant “vicious” head-butts that I have ever seen. Ortiz should not only be fined for what he did, but he should be suspended from boxing for a time as well.
What is all of this sucker punch garbage that I am reading about? Floyd sucker punched nobody. Ortiz already got his hug right after he rammed his head into Floyd’s face. Now he wants a second love fest? Negative.
Floyd got his face crushed by a disgusting headbutt and he was pissed off and ready to fight. It’s not Floyd’s fault that Ortiz decided to stand in front of him with his hands down, looking the other way.
Floyd had every right to do what he did. The round was live and nobody told anyone to stop fighting. Ortiz learned a valuable lesson in this fight. It’s something that they teach the kids at the amateur gyms across the world, it’s called protecting yourself at all times.

OK, so let me address the second knockout. Larry Merchant, the guy who reminds me of that cranky old uncle or grandfather at the family reunion who shows up and spoils the party. Merchant a guy who rarely has anything nice to say got his butt knocked out tonight as well. It’s about time someone put this guy in check. Floyd put the guy on blast and rightfully so.
Merchant has made a living sitting ringside taking his verbal shots at prize fighters for years now. Floyd had enough of him and blasted him at the post fight interview. Don’t forget folks, Floyd just got his chin busted opened by a blatant illegal headbutt. I highly doubt he was in any mood to deal with arrogant questions and apparently he wasn’t. Oh and by the way, Larry wouldn’t beat Floyd if he was 50 years younger.
Let’s bring on Manny Pacquiao and give boxing and its fans what it deserves.
